A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on December 1, 2023 in Izmir between the Institute of International Economic Relations (IIER) founded by the Hellenic Association of S.A. and Entrepreneurship and Yasar University.
Yasar University is the biggest non-state university in Izmir with many undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programes.
The MOU refers to cooperation between IIER and Yasar University on inter alia, the development of joint projects in areas of mutual interest, including the organization of conferences, workshops, symposia and training seminars. Cooperation also includes reciprocal visits of researchers and joint preparation of research projects.
The Memorandum was signed on behalf of IIER by its Director, Professor Charalambos Tsardanidis and on behalf of Yasar University by the Rector of Yasar University, Professor Levent Kandiller.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Tsardanidis underlined his certainty that the MOU will form the basis for a fruitful cooperation, especially in the field of Mediterranean Studies, while Prof. Kandiller stressed that the Memorandum will strengthen the ties that Yasar University has already developed with other Universities and Institutes in Greece.
